Mobile Science Activity Centers

Grades 2-5 - One of three mobile classrooms are available to visit Kentucky schools for hands-on STEM activities. Teachers may choose one of several options for their students. The mobile classrooms can accommodate about 150 students per day. Fee: $200 per day or $500 for three consecutive days.

The Mobile Dairy Classroom is part of a dynamic educational program sponsored by Southland Dairy Farmers. The 32-foot classroom features a fully operational milking parlor and carries a live cow to schools, fairs, and festivals. The mobile classroom is enjoyed by all ages and targeted toward 2nd grade through high school. Instructors can teach 100 to 200 children per presentation and give up to five demonstrations daily. This program is free of charge, thanks to Kentucky’s dairy farmers. It books quickly, so be sure to request several months in advance of your date.


Kentucky Kate

Kentucky Kate is a life-size, fiberglass, milkable cow that is available for educational and promotional events. She can be utilized for a nominal fee to the Kentucky Dairy Development Council for educational and promotional events. "Got milk?" stickers and coloring sheets are provided at no charge when she makes an appearance.


Connecting Science and the Horse

The Kentucky 4-H Horse Program and their horse experts will visit schools to teach the various horse science lessons to Grades 3+. Contact Mary Jane Little at maryjane.little@uky.edu.
