Kinslow Dairy

Kinslow Dairy is owned by Don and Gail Kinslow, and their children, Jeremy and Lindsie. Don began milking with his parents as a small child. When Don and Gail were married in 1981, they moved into a farm house close to the dairy and worked alongside Don's parents for several years milking cows and raising tobacco.

In the late 1990’s, Don built a new milk parlor. As the family has grown, so has the farm. Lindsie’s husband, Adam Logsdon, helps with the dairy and raises beef cattle and grain. Jeremy also helps with his wife Kelsey. The Kinslow grandchildren help on the farm, too!

Legacy Dairy

Legacy Dairy is owned by the Jones family - Doug, Genelle, Ally and Jagger - in Hiseville. Doug is a Navy veteran and works full time in the medical field, but he also runs the farm with the help of his family. They milk cows and grow feed crops such as hay and corn. Ally also works full time on the farm.

The family started bottling their own milk in 2020, which is sold in stores and farmers’ markets.

Betn’ On Jerseys

Betn’ On Jerseys is owned and operated by Brent, Skyler, Evelyn and Keightley (their Australian Shepherd) Mays in Glasgow, KY. They milk around 125 cows and raise crops.

Brent, from Green County, did not grow up on a dairy farm, but fell in love with the work while helping local dairy farmers during high school. He worked on Western Kentucky University’s dairy during college. After graduation, he moved out to Oregon to work on a large dairy farm, then moved back to Kentucky to run his own dairy farm.

Skyler grew up on a dairy farm in Maryland. Her family made the move to Kentucky almost 17 years ago and milked cows in Cave City for 9 years. She works for the Farm Service Agency as a farm loan officer. When she’s not at work, she can be found helping out on the farm.

Brent & Skyler got married last October and welcomed their first baby in January.

Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese & Mattingly Farms

Kenny and Beverly Mattingly milk cows and make cheese at their creamery. Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese was Kentucky’s first on-farm cheese maker, and they sell their cheese across the United States. They now use a robotic milker and host farm tours.
